How satisfied are you with your Nokia Lumia 710 and Nokia Lumia 800?

How happy are you with your Nokia Lumia handset? We’re extremely happy with ours, but then we would say that! You don’t have to take our word for it though – a recent independent survey suggests that Windows Phone users are happier with their purchases than those of any other smartphone platform.

How to update your Nokia Lumia 800

PCMag has just announced the results of its annual Readers’ Choice Awards, and guess what? The Windows Phone platform, which is led by the Nokia Lumia 800 and Nokia Lumia 710, came out strongest!

When readers were asked how satisfied they were with their smartphones on a scale of 0-10 (with 10 being extremely satisfied), Windows Phone users rated an average of 8.7. That’s a rise of 0.6 over the previous year, which just so happens to coincide with Nokia’s arrival on the scene. Coincidence? We think not!

The only other platform to score as highly overall was the iPhone. Meanwhile the Android platform was only awarded a 7.9, and BlackBerry propped up the table with a meagre 6.8 out of 10.

While it was a dead heat at the top of the table in terms of overall satisfaction, though, Windows Phone pulled out a convincing lead in some of the individual areas. When it came to reliability, text messaging, web browsing, and gaming, Windows Phone users were more satisfied with their phones than users of any other platform.

It’s an impressive win for the young Windows Phone platform, and it bodes well for a strong 2012. With exciting new handsets like the Nokia Lumia 900 and Nokia Lumia 610 set to join the roster and win new fans at the top and bottom end of the smartphone market respectively, we have a sneaking suspicion the 2013 awards are going to see another increase in customer satisfaction.

But we’re interested in what you think of your Nokia Lumia 800 and Nokia Lumia 710. What rating would you give your phone out of 10 in terms of reliability, gaming, web browsing, text messaging, apps, music and the like? Let us know in the Comments section below.
